Breathe Again at Garageband Still Going Strong

Back in February, Breathe Again was featured as the “Track of the Day” over at GarageBand.com, a very popular rock site and network.

We’ve recently received some other awesome statistics about the tune that we thought would be neat to share with our fans; without you, we wouldn’t have anything to brag about.

Whole Damn Nation Album Art

The release of Whole Damn Nation is drawing close, so I thought it be a good idea to give everybody a sneak peak of the album art.

The album cover was designed and illustrated by digital artist Petr Hlavizňa, who did a fantastic job of capturing Ed as he stands fearless, guitar in tow.

Stay tuned for track listing and release date information!

Independent Rock Act Fear Zero Gets Huge Boost at Digg.com

Image representing Digg as depicted in CrunchBaseMonday night was a very exciting time for us here at FearZero.com!

Ed shared with us some of his insights into creating the new “Octane” guitar solo in a blog post entitled “6 Face Melting Guitar Solos”.

Not only did the solos melt our faces off, it seems they melted our severs as well! The piece was picked up by social news site Digg.com and we received so much traffic that the site went down for several hours!

The article got over 900 “Diggs”, or votes, from those visiting the site, and over 200 comments were left by Digg users, often mentioning their own favorite guitar solos.

6 Guitar Solos That Will Melt Your Face Off

A few weeks ago I gave everyone a sneak peak of an upcoming guitar solo called Octane. Since then many people have asked me about where some of my influences for it came from; here’s a look at some face melting guitar solos that inspired me.

Eruption – Van Halen

This solo was the turning point that made me and a million other guitarists want to get good. It has everything; tone, feel, speed, and melody and will live on as one of the greatest solo rock guitar pieces ever composed.

Frenzy – Paul Gilbert

The plan

Hey, hope you all had a great summer like I did!  I just got back from San Francisco a couple of weeks ago.  Great city, cool sites!

The 2 Fear Zero shows in August went quite well, considering it was the first time all 4 of us have ever graced a stage together in over a year.  We performed a mix of old tunes and new ones to a couple of crowds over 1,000 which was pretty damn cool!  Hopefully we can snag a nice tour with a bigger act so we can get out and play some more.
